Wisdom of the Earth (WOTE) is a small medicinal essential oil company found in the outskirts of Sedona, Arizona. With over 260 essences in their collection, their single, pure undiluted essences are hand poured with love in one of America’s most beautiful desert landscapes. Since their inception over 20 years ago, the founders and owners of the company held the sourcing of their oils to a high level of integrity. They continue to support and work with many farmers who could not supply the demands of the larger, well known, oil companies. These intimate relationships, along with a commitment to distribute only ethically produced, unadulterated oils, bring about a collection of oils unlike any other. A collection with diversity.
The biodiversity that exists within the plant kingdom is exquisite, and this is certainly highlighted in the Wisdom of the Earth collection. WOTE offers 11 distinct lavenders in their collection, and in addition, 3 species of Lavandin. 8 variations of eucalyptus, and numerous offerings in the conifer families. While different sub species are in part responsible for the variations within the collection, the geography of where the plants and trees are grown (and thus variable climate and altitude) greatly influences the biochemical and aromatic qualities of the essences produced, The same species of lavender grown in Greece will have very different aromatic and energetic qualities from the one produced in Spain.

Wisdom of the Earth offers essential oils that are not included in the collection of most mainstream oil producers. Oils such as Elemi (Canarium lazonicum), Cade (Juniperus oxycedrus), Oakmoss (Evernia prunastri), Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis), and Galbanum (Ferula galbaniflua) are just a few of the oils found on the essential oil path less traveled.
